《悼念已故公主的帕凡舞曲》是拉威尔的探索之作，蕴含着丰富的音乐内涵与形式，印象主义和古典主义这两种音乐风格被巧妙地融合在了一起，沉静舒缓，哀而不伤，呈现出“水乳交融”的“复合性”音乐风格。声乐套曲《夏夜》音乐的情感变化多，音域跨度大，需要非常极致的情感、演唱技巧和艺术修养来表现，很多歌者不会轻易去碰触。苏交再次携手著名女中音歌唱家杨光，大胆为观众呈现。《奥伯龙》序曲和《火鸟》都源于民间童话故事，充满旺盛的蓬勃野性，为这场夏日里的音乐会增添了浓重的奇幻色彩。

Pavane pour une infante défunte represents Ravel’s quest of seamlessly merging the stylistic characteristics of impressionism with classicism. The resulting effect of this exploratory masterpiece of profound and delicate expression of a nostalgia for Spanish customs and noble sensibilities. Guang Yang, the award-winning mezzosoprano and Suzhou’s native pride, returns to the SZS to collaborate in luscious interpretation of Berlioz’s voluptuous and evocative song cycle Les nuits d’été, a touchstone work for opera singers. The concert is capped cleverly and elegantly at both ends with two works inspired by folklore and legend: the fairy land of Oberon as depicted by Weber’s classical opera of the same name and the fantastical world of the Russian folktale Firebird as recounted by Stravinsky’s ground-breaking ballet suite.

法籍指挥家让-克劳德·卡萨德苏斯于1976年创立法国里尔国家交响乐团，在此后的40年，他带领乐团在全世界四大洲的32个国家巡演。他与里尔交响乐团录制了超过30张专辑，均受到业内外人士的广泛好评。

卡萨德苏斯在被任命为巴黎歌剧院、巴黎喜歌剧院首席指挥前曾担任巴黎夏特莱剧院音乐总监，指挥普罗旺斯埃克斯国际艺术节、蒙特卡洛艺术节、里尔歌剧院出品的歌剧。他还作为客座指挥与法国国家交响乐团、马赛交响乐团、蒙特卡洛交响乐团合作，并在莫斯科、圣彼得堡、京都、广岛、里加、新加坡、蒙特利尔、巴尔的摩、首尔、圣保罗、布宜诺斯艾利斯、费城、柏林等地演出。


Jean-Claude Casadesus | Conductor

Recipient of the medals ‘Commandeur de la Légion d’Honneur’, ‘Grand Officier de l’Ordre national du Mérite’, ‘Commandeur des Arts et Lettres’ from the Republic of France

After more than forty years at the helm of the Orchestre National de Lille which he created in 1976, Jean-Claude Casadesus, remains the orchestra’s founding director. Under his direction, the orchestra has travelled throughout the world in 32 countries on 4 continents. His discographies of more than thirty CDs with Orchestre National de Lille is unanimously praised by the public and critics.

Jean-Claude Casadesus held the position as music director of the Theater Châtelet in Paris before being appointed principal conductor at the Opéra de Paris and the Opéra-Comique. He has conducted at the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence, Orange, Paris, Trieste, Monte Carlo, Opera Flandres and the Opera de Lille. He has conducted the Orchestre National de France and the Orchestre National de Bordeaux, and the philharmonic orchestras of Marseille and Monte-Carlo. Internationally he has appeared in Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Kyoto, Hiroshima, Riga, Singapore, Montreal, Baltimore, Seoul, Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires, Philadelphia, and Berlin.

女中音歌唱家杨光毕业于中央音乐学院、美国纽约茱莉亚音乐学院歌剧中心。2001年成为第一位签约芝加哥抒情歌剧院的亚裔青年歌唱家，同时也是该剧院历史上第一位签约前就已经获得“英国BBC卡迪夫国际歌唱家大赛”和“多明戈国际声乐大赛”一等奖的艺术家。

杨光活跃在国际各大歌剧院的舞台，包括美国芝加哥抒情歌剧院、美国大都会歌剧院、美国旧金山歌剧院、美国华盛顿国家歌剧院、英国威尔士国家歌剧院、加拿大国家歌剧院、德国柏林国家歌剧院、奥地利布瑞根茨国际音乐艺术节、法国里昂歌剧院、香港歌剧院、上海歌剧院、中国国家大剧院等，曾经合作的指挥大师包括祖宾·梅塔、郑明勋、艾森巴赫及多明戈。

The 1997 winner of the prestigious BBC Singer of the World Competition in Cardiff, and the first prize winner in Plácido Domingo’s 2001 OPERALIA Competition, Mezzo-soprano Guang Yang has sung with major opera houses through Europe and North America including the Lyric Opear of Chicago, Metropolitan Opera, Houston Grand Opera, San Francisco Opera, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Opera Lyon, the Bregenz Festival in Austria, Welsh National Opera, Canadian Opera Company, the Florida Grand Opera, and Opera Omaha, collaborating with such distinguished maestros as Zubin Mehta, Sir Andrew Davis, Carlo Rizzi, Christoph Eschenbach and Plácido Domingo.

Ms. Yang is equally at home on the concert stage, appearing as mezzo-soprano soloist in Verdi’s REQUIEM, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, guest appearance with the Marilyn Horne Foundation in New York City, and solo recital with the Hong Kong Art Festival and throughout China.
